Due to our growing business opportunities we are currently recruiting for a Buyer to join our busy team.

So, if you are in the early stages of your career or have already established experiences we would be delighted to hear from you.

The successful applicants will be responsible for a number of duties including;

  • Negotiating terms of supply with both new and existing suppliers.
  • Increasing the stock holding range we have with current suppliers.
  • Maintaining and enhancing a strong supplier trading relationship.
  • Reviewing stock and sales information made available to help identify new sales opportunities.
  • Regular liaison with suppliers and other departments to optimise our offer via a specific customer, customer type and region
The role is office based at our Eastbourne site. The hours are from 9am to 5.30pm Monday - Friday.

Essential Skills

  • Excellent communication skills, verbally and written.
  • Good knowledge of Microsoft Office, with particular knowledge of Outlook and Excel.
  • Selfmotivated, and keen to improve.
  • Excellent attention to detail.
  • Ability to take ownership of queries and respond within a timely manner.
  • Comfortable working on your own initiative, but also know when to escalate issues.
  • Flexibility and willingness to adapt where necessary to help the wider team.
  • Resilience with the ability to problem solve.
Desired Skills

Applicants must be of smart and professional appearance, confident on the phone as well as with direct personal contact. The ability to work well within a team, prioritise tasks and cope under pressure is essential.
