- Provision of a full range of clinical dental care for people with additional needs who have been referred in to the service.
- To provide dental treatment as required in a range of locations, including domiciliary care. This will also involve the provision of treatment under sedation (accredited training will be given if necessary)
- To promote and maintain patients' oral health within NHS regulations.
- To provide dental screening or dental epidemiological surveys of school children and other priority groups if required by the service.
- To provide clinical leadership for the local dental team.
- To work with the wider clinical team and oral health promotion staff in the provision of high quality dental care for the patients
- To ensure the patients are seen within specified time limits within the dental contract.
- Full GDC registration as a Dentist
- On NHS Performer list
- Has completed an accredited sedation course
