    Description

    Job Listing: People Management Support

    You will be responsible for providing advice, guidance, and support to various services within the council to ensure effective people management aligned with the council's objectives. Your role will involve assisting in key areas of work to ensure that the People Strategy fully supports the council's strategic aims and objectives.

    • Requirement of a Certificate in People Practice, HNC, SVQ Level 3 in Business Administration, or relevant experience in a People-oriented environment.
    • Experience in handling HR/payroll systems is necessary.
    • Willingness to work towards a professional People qualification is a must.
    • Essential skills include the ability to analyze and present management information, effective organizational and time management skills, and proficiency in using the Microsoft Office suite.

    Preferred qualifications include Affiliate Membership of the Chartered Institute of Personnel Development, good knowledge of Local Authority terms and conditions of service, and familiarity with the Scottish Council's Job Evaluation Scheme.

    Successful candidates will need to undergo a Disclosure Scotland check, with the level of check based on the responsibilities of the role.
