Join us as an eFI Quant Trading Associate

  • We're looking for someone to join our eFI trading team to help with all elements of automation in our flow FI client trading franchise, including government bonds and interest rate swaps
  • Daytoday, you'll work on quantitative, technological, and operational trading elements, in particular quantitative and technical, and carry out trading activities on authorised products

What you'll do
You'll handle trading activities in line with strategy and risk appetite. You'll also perform real-time risk monitoring and management activities to operate investment decision algorithms. We'll also expect you to meet financial objectives, revenue, and costs,in your performance objectives.

Not only will you target sustainable and robust business P&L stream and risk profiles, but you'll make sure trading activities are timely and accurate and have consistent pricing in line with the execution of the desk's produce range and our group policies.


You'll also be responsible for:

  • Risk management of the desk's books while using hedging instruments and recording the desk's transactions and reviewing the reconciliation of its P&L, flash and actual, and risk
  • Taking part in the development of new quantitative business logic through the development of ideas and implementation
  • Taking steps to make sure trading activities are in line with group policies covering market, conduct, operational, credit and regulatory risks
  • Developing new automated capabilities and improving existing features for clients and traders while working with other traders and our quant technology functions to achieve this
  • Helping sales and structuring to widen client footprints and to increase client penetration while supporting marketing activities through client visits and trade agreements

The skills you'll need

To be successful in this role, you'll have over 2 years' experience in a relevant role, although expertise in a direct area will not be fundamental.

Potential consideration will be given to those with excellent quantitative and technical skills.

You'll also need:

  • Experience of fixed income products, preferably in a FO trading environment
  • Experience of working in trading or with traders
  • An interest in working on trading automation
  • Good coding and data analysis experience, preferably in Java and Python, but other languages will be considered
  • Commercial experience with deploying code into a production environment
