Overview
2fawcett are recruiting for a Logistics Assistant to join our client in Burton, on a full time, permanent basis.

Reporting to the Head of Stores, you will process and deliver internal stock requests, monitor deliveries & assist with general stores duties.


Responsibilities of the Logistics Assistant:


  • Issuing and logging goods that come in and out of stores
  • Maintaining the overall organisation of the stores
  • Adhering to Health & Safety policies
  • Goods inwards documentation checking, goods checking and acceptance of all deliveries to stock
  • Ensure all received stock is undamaged and that everything ordered is present and accounted for
  • Ensuring all stock areas are tidy, clean, and free from clutter
  • Maintaining stock levels and ensuring an adequate amount to meet demand
  • Managing stock levels and orders within agreed budgets
  • Ensuring the Head of Stores are informed of low stock and other shortages which may require reordering in line with agreed PAR levels
  • Prepare and fulfil stock requisitions to internal departments, accurately and in within agreed time frame
  • With the Head of Stores, maintain a safe working environment within the Stores areas and all current Health and Safety legislation is observed
  • Assist where required with monthly stock count
  • Performing any other duties that may be deemed necessary to ensure the effective running of the Department and Company

Requirements of the Logistics Assistant:


  • Excellent communication skills.
  • A methodical nature, organisation skills and an ability to manage tasks.
  • Strict time management and organisational skills.
  • IT literate is essential
