    Site ManagerLocation: Greater ManchesterSalary: £45,000 per annum plus car allowanceAbout our client:MIDAS is working with a privately owned main contractor who are a contractor of choice across a number of local frameworks and private clients.

    Delivering projects across residential, high-rise, healthcare, commercial and industrial they have a track record of delivering exceptional work.

    They have a strong pipeline of work for the next 3 years and are looking for driven individuals with talent to help them deliver these schemes.

    Job DescriptionThe role is based in and around the Manchester and Greater Manchester area and initially is supporting a key client, providing key fit out and refurbishment works in the social housing sector.

    Reporting to the Contracts Manager, you will manage all site activities to include the daily management of staff and subcontractors, dealing with the client, ensuring health, safety, quality and environmental objectives are achieved and ensuring projects are delivered on time, to cost and to first class quality standards.

    The main duties and responsibilities will include but not be limited to:

    Ensuring safety standards are maintained at all timesManagement of site teams and co-ordination of site activitiesMonitoring of key stage programmeCoordinating with the clientProviding progress reportsEnsuring all method statements and risk assessments are appropriate and in place in advance of the worksAssisting in the delivery of safety and environmental management systems and project complianceEnsuring project is delivered on time, budget and to the client's satisfactionThe successful applicant:You will be an experienced Site Manager with strengths managing refurb projects with values up to £3 million in the social housing sector and have experience of dealing with Asbestos-contaminated environments.

    You will be able to manage and lead site teams and set clear objectives. You will be an excellent communicator and be able to proactively build good relationships with clients and manage expectations.

    You will be skilled in monitoring and controlling costs against budgets and demonstrate a positive and pro-active attitude towards health and safety.

    Good planning skills with the ability to think ahead, prioritising tasks and monitoring progress against plan, making alterations where necessary.
