At Fitwise we specialise in association and educational event management and we have an exciting opportunity for a Senior Bookkeeper/Senior Accounts Assistant to join our team.

Working within a small finance team, this position will support the rest of the Fitwise bookkeeping team to meet both internal and external bookkeeping/financial support needs.

The role requires someone who is able to manage all aspects of bookkeeping and financial records for a portfolio of designated clients in an efficient, accurate and effective manner.

About you:

Part qualified with ACCA/ACA or a minimum 4 years of experience in a UK based accountancy practice
Experience of managing a portfolio of clients
Proficient in SAGE Line 50
Experience of preparing and submitting VAT returns
IT proficient (Outlook, Word and PowerPoint)
Strong Excel skills
Strong written and verbal communication skills, particularly for communicating with nonfinance professionals
Ability to work accurately under pressure and tight deadlines
A people person with good team working skills
Proactively identify and creatively solve problems

This is a hybrid role, and we are happy to accommodate a combination of home / office working.

Additional benefits include:
