Role Overview

At EquiLend, the Head of Sales for the EMEA region is a cornerstone role responsible for guiding our sales strategy and unlocking new business avenues in the region.

With a compact, agile team of three, your leadership skills and deep understanding of the financial technology landscape will be pivotal in showcasing the advantages and innovations of our securities finance products and services to a growing clientele.


This role is designed for a seasoned professional with a solid history of sales achievements, ideally within the finance or fintech sector, with a focus on engaging the buy-side and hedge fund communities.

Role Responsibilities:


  • Devise and execute a detailed sales strategy for the EMEA region that not only meets but aims to surpass revenue goals, in alignment with EquiLend's ambitious growth plans.
  • Lead and motivate a dedicated team of three, directing them towards achieving sales excellence and a culture of success.
  • Drive business expansion by uncovering new business channels and penetrating unexplored markets within the region.
  • Oversee the entire sales process, from initial lead generation to the finalisation of deals, maintaining a healthy sales pipeline with precise forecasting and performance tracking.
  • Provide regular sales performance updates, backed by datadriven insights and strategic proposals for future action.
  • Keep a pulse on market trends and shifts, adjusting strategies proactively to maintain a competitive edge.
  • Deliver indepth market analyses and trends to inform client decisions and enhance engagement levels.
  • Develop compelling value propositions that highlight the measurable impact and return on investment of our offerings.
  • Execute engaging presentations and proposals that effectively communicate the strengths of EquiLend's services.
  • Encourage teamwork across departments to refine strategies, develop business cases, and negotiate contracts.

Required Skills:


  • Over 10 years of experience in sales, with a preference for backgrounds in finance or fintech.
  • Strong track record in B2B sales, with significant expertise in strategising, managing sales pipelines, and clinching highvalue agreements.
  • Skilled in defining, monitoring, and communicating key sales performance indicators to upper management.
  • Outstanding communication, negotiation, and presentation skills.
  • Proficiency in using Salesforce, Excel, PowerPoint, and Bloomberg.
  • Adept at both virtual and facetoface presentations.
  • Proven success in generating leads and managing relationships at the senior level.
  • A resultsdriven individual with a fervent passion for excellence.
  • A history of successful negotiations and deal closures.
  • While knowledge of Securities Finance is an asset, it is not mandatory.
