Regional Office Administrator Apprentice

Job Summary
You will be part of a team that supports NHSBT's purpose to Save and Improve Lives.


Being part of our Apprenticeship Programme is a great opportunity for you to gain valuable knowledge and experience, as well as develop a range of transferrable skills.


Throughout your time as an NHSBT Apprentice, within the terms of the 18 month Fixed Term contract, you will be supported to successfully complete a nationally recognised Apprenticeship Programme in Level 3 Business Administrator.

Main duties of the job
You will be required to provide administration support as first point of contact for two Regional Organ Donation Teams. Typically, these duties will involve
- arranging meetings and minute taking
- organising external meetings, liaising with key stakeholders
- diary management and support for the Regional Head of Nursing
- booking travel and accommodation
- post opening and sorting
- data entry ensuring all records are up to date and accurate
- receiving and making telephone calls
- undertaking routine correspondence
- maintaining manual and electronic filing systems
- general office duties for example photocopying and scanning documents.
- creating, updating, maintaining and extracting data from managed information systems and databases to support the accurate collation, storage and evaluation

  • Any other opportunities for development that will enable you to successfully attain the Level 3 Business Administration apprenticeship programme.


You will also be required to undertake travel, with prior notice, for training purposes to other NHSBT Centres and be willing to work outside of the working hours to attend events.


About You

Experience and Knowledge

  • Experience of working with information technology using Microsoft Office packages (Word, Excel and PowerPoint), or equivalent Systems

Qualifications and Training

  • Commitment to studying towards and completing the Level 3 Business Administration apprenticeship programme
  • Commitment to complete and achieve Level 2 maths and English Functional Skills if exemptions are not held
  • Demonstrates commitment to own continued professional development (CPD).
