Retail Betting Assistant - Racecourses: Chepstow (and other racecourses as required) Over 18s only.

Training - Online and in person training will be paid

Dates required for work - Racing fixtures at Chepstow, top up work available at other courses in the surrounding area

This is a great opportunity for those wanting to supplement a current income, work along side a qualification or simply to enjoy casual work.

A
Betting Assistant is a customer service based role, which involves placing bets on behalf of customers and in turn paying out winning ticket/s.

You will be assigned to your most local Racecourse Lingfield committing to Race day fixtures.

However, you will have the ability to book shifts at other local courses and around the country Please note for all work booked outside of your local course, travel pay will be given to subsidise time spent travelling as well as transport expenses.

For larger fixtures such as; Cheltenham Festival and Aintree Grand National, overnight accommodation will be provided as they will require 3-4 days work consecutively.

Role duties;

To use the betting terminals to take bets from customers (training provided on the system)
Pay out guests who supply winning ticket/s
Provide excellent customer service to racegoers
Handle cash and cash up at the end of each race day
Explain effectively, different bet types to customers (training provided)

Skills / Attributes;

Good customer service experience
Good mental arithmetic
Ability to deal with cash efficiently and total up at the end of each race day
Confident relaying information to guests around bets and races
Enthusiastic

Pay Rate:
£12:46 - £13.60 (hourly rate include holiday pay)
