About this role:


Wells Fargo is seeking a Senior Lead Regulatory Relations Specialist in the International Regulatory Relations Team, to be based in London.

Regulatory Relations is a first line function within the Bank, which is responsible for maintaining the Regulatory RelationsEnterprise Program.

The role will be responsible for supporting the Head of International Regulatory Relations in developing and executing International Regulatory relations strategy, providing governance and oversight of regulatory engagement activities covering regulatory exams/ inquiries and related response management, material changes to regulations, supervisory meetings, and regulatory submissions.

The role will be responsible for producing management information and reports to Senior stakeholders and internal governance committeesas well as supporting the overall operations of the International Regulatory Relations teams.

This role will work across functionally with multiple support partners in all the International regions (EMEA, APAC and Americas) and the Global Regulatory Relationsteam based in the US.

This role will be visible, demanding, and rewarding, with regular interactions with a dynamic international team, working closely with leadership teams and senior business and functional leaders across the international landscape and the Regulatory Relationsleadership team.


In this role, you will:


  • Act as an advisor and business manager for International Regulatory Relations lead to support the implementation of regulatory relations strategy, governance, communications, and reporting (internal and external) to manage regulatory engagements and interactions
  • Ensure high quality reporting aggregation, forecasting, and tracking on regulatory engagements and actions to stakeholders, including executive leadership, board of directors, and regulators
  • Support the Regulatory Relations Leads on regulatory engagements with focus on ensuring appropriate consistency in messaging, accountability and interaction with regulators
  • Lead to ensure consistent delivery on regulatory commitments and execution of the Regulatory Relations policy and procedures
  • Consider and identify and address opportunities to improve on regulatory, policy and procedures
  • Work with the team as well as have the opportunity to lead implementation of strategic initiatives with high risk and complexity, generally spanning multiple business lines
  • Lead projects with virtual teams and mentors to accomplish goals and priorities

Required Qualifications, International:


  • Experience in Regulatory Relations, or equivalent demonstrated through one or a combination of the following: work experience, training, military experience, education

Desired Qualifications:


  • Degree qualification or equivalent.
  • Ability to synthesize trends in engagements across regulatory bodies, throughout the organization, and among peer institutions and communicate these to leadership regarding implications and risks to WF
  • Strong knowledge of the financial services industry, products, and regulatory environment

Note:
In addition to these functions, employees are required to carry out such other duties as may reasonably be required.- In partnership with the Head of International Regulatory Relations and regional leads, work with our International leaders and their teams (e.g. COO) and business leads to establish, execute and support regulatory engagements and prepare management informationreporting of these engagements including reporting for internal committees.

  • Interfaces with the business and enterprise functions and Regulatory Relations teams to stay abreast of current state of regulatory engagements and interactions, sharing insights with team and leadership to resolve risk concerns
  • Evaluates and advises on senior management and business/enterprise function materials, presentations, reports, and communications.
  • Lead and performs oversight and quality assurance activities to assess and ensure adherence to the Regulatory Relations Policy and Procedures.
  • Promoting a culture of continuous improvement through identifying process enhancements
  • Lead with integrity and create an environment where team members feel included, valued, and supported to do work that energizes them
