SEN Teaching Assistant

Protocol Education are recruiting for a school in BS37, looking for a 1:1 Teaching assistant on a full time basis.

We are looking for passionate individuals who are wanting to build a career in working with children. You will mostly be working alongside the class teacher to provide support to the child on a 1:1 basis, also supporting the whole class setting on occasions.

The role of a teaching assistant can be a challenging one so patience, a friendly approach and a good sense of humour are required.

The Role;

• To work alongside the class teacher in supporting children with their learning

• To manage the behaviour of pupils whilst they undertake their work and ensuring a constructive and positive environment is always enforced

• De-escalating situations within the classroom in the correct way ensuring that safeguarding procedures are always adhered to

• Carrying out small group work and working with children with additional needs

• Reporting any safeguarding concerns using the school's referral procedures and safeguarding policies.

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay. This advert is for a temporary position. In some cases, the option to make this role permanent may become available at a later date.
