An exciting opportunity has arisen for an enthusiastic individual with excellent customer service skills and a passion for weddings and events to join the team at our client's 4-star hotel, based in Gerrards Cross.
As Weddings and Events Coordinator, you will follow-up on enquiries and reservations for all weddings, meetings and other events within the hotel.
Our client is a licensed wedding venue, hosting civil ceremonies and partnerships for up to 150 guests, as well as hosting meetings and events from 10 to 150 delegates in their events suites.
Responsibilities:
- Look after all wedding enquiries from start to the big day and beyond
. - Dealing with and processing all enquiries for any conference and or function to be held within the F&B outlets.
- Recording and processing all bookings, cancellations and amendments promptly in the M&E computer system (Events 500).
- Communicating all clients' needs through the publishing of weekly function sheets and amendments as appropriate.
- Filling in business gaps when the F&B Outlets have not been booked.
- Taking bookings for accommodation and facilitating a smooth booking process.
- Attending daily/weekly business meetings to coordinate the smooth operation of all departments.
- Conducting showrounds to all potential clients.
- To help maintain the client database and successfully develop new clients.
Experience:
- At least two years' experience as a weddings/meetings and events coordinator.
- Immaculate presentation with an outgoing personality, excellent interpersonal skills and professional manner.
- Exceptional customer service skills with the ability to resolve enquiries efficiently.
- Excellent IT skills with the ability to administer the hotels PMS, ideally Events 500 and Opera.
- A systematic approach with great planning and organisation skills.
- Excellent attention to detail and good organisational and administration skills.
- To be a strong Team Player able to self motivate and motivate others
- Good written and spoken communication skills with a high level of numeracy and literacy.
