The role

Senior RCN Officer RCN London region 35 hours, permanent Salary range per annum £64,026 to £72,240* + London weighting There is more to the RCN than you might think.

The postholder will provide a high standard of service and leadership to RCN members on professional and employment matters within the RCN NI region.

This will include representation and supervision of others in the representation of RCN members both individually and collectively. To lead on the provision of professional advice to boards, government, members and healthcare providers as required. The post-holder will work to the RCN Strategic Plan and the agreed local RCN Operational Plan.

As a Senior RCN Officer you'll use your positive attitude and your industrial relations and management skills to support our local team and utilise your nursing knowledge and experience to support our activists and members in London.

Every day will be filled with possibilities as you find new ways to manage and support the development of accredited RCN representatives and RCN members.

You'll also manage your own portfolio of complex casework while taking managerial and leadership responsibility for your team.

The person

You will be able to contribute and deliver to the strategic agenda within the patch that you will manage in the region.

You will have direct line management of RCN Officers and manage and undertake some of the more complex case work that arises within the patch.

You will need to have good communication skills, be able to challenge and negotiate skilfully and have the ability to work with a range of stakeholders across a variety of health and care settings.

You will need to be able to travel within London to enable us to support and advocate for our members when required.

Whatever your background, you'll be efficient, accurate and show a real customer focus in all you do.

The ability to foster strong professional relationships and encourage close collaboration between departments is at the heart of this leadership role.
