Do you have Managerial or leadership experience? Could you build a strong room - in all aspects for staff, children, and parents? Do you have the ability to implement high standards of care for children?

The Sutton Coldfield based nursery I am working with are seeking for exceptional and enthusiastic Room Leader who can lead and manage a team of practitioners in a very busy environment.

You must have the passion and desire to deliver the high standards of careand learning opportunities for children to develop into confident champions.

You must possess the qualities to inspire your team and show what an outstanding room looks like.
The role is Full time working on 8 hours a day on a shift pattern. Temp to Perm for the right person

Main duties:
To ensure the safeguarding of children and deliver high levels of quality childcare
To plan activities, appropriate to the age and development of the children
Overseeing the induction and settling in of children attending
Coach and mentor practitioners to deliver high quality childcare

Essential:

  • CACHE level 3, NVQ level 3, EYFS or equivalent
  • A minimum of 23 years post qualifying experience in a full day care setting.
  • Experience as a room leader
  • Excellent organisational skills with the ability to work to deadlines and under pressure.
  • Knowledge and experience of Ofsted standards, child development and EYFS.
  • Excellent communication and IT skills.
  • Strong people management skills.
  • Paediatric first aid

Desirable :

Level 2 in leadership and management A higher level qualification in Early Years Childcare and education/childcare studies or equivalent.

safeguarding lead or SENCO qualifications.
familiar with online learning journal systems, specifically Family
