Full-time: 35 hours per week

Fixed-term for 3 years

We are looking for a research assistant to work with the Walmsley group to help facilitate a programme of research investigating the cellular and molecular mechanisms that regulate neutrophilic inflammation.

The Opportunity:

Your skills and attributes for success:

An undergraduate degree in the biological field (e.g. biochemistry, cell biology, physiology, immunology, pharmacology or related area, bioengineering).
Prior laboratory experience.
Evidence of a strong trackrecord in some aspect of biology.
Evidence of a strong work ethic, independent thinking and ability to work as part of a research team.
Interest in the mechanisms underlying the cellular and molecular mechanisms regulating neutrophilic inflammation
Readiness and ability to: contribute novel ideas to the project, learn new techniques as the need arises and overcome experimental difficulties.
