Description

We are recruiting for a Mechanical Test Engineer for a global technology company in Weymouth.

The company produces innovative equipment that enables the world's biggest names in electronics to bring their technology to market.

Reporting to the Manager, System Test, this role entails undertaking systems testing of any company product, including module level and integration testing.

The Main Aim of the Role:

Provide Test Lead and development expertise on assigned projects
Review requirements specifications and convert into test suites
Verify that the delivery scope has been delivered as agreed
Explore and implement new ways to automate systems

About You

Qualified, or actively working towards completion of, HNC or above qualification in a relevant technical discipline
Proficient user of Microsoft utilities such as Excel, Word, PowerPoint, Outlook.
Be able to demonstrate a successful track record working within an engineering testing role.
Basic automation experience to design, develop and test automation scripts and processes
Experience with defect databases, for example JIRA and TFS.
Understanding of Waterfall and Agile models of software development life cycles.
