We are currently recruiting for a Gym Assistant to be a part of our team at HMS Caledonia, Rosyth, KY11 2XH

Yearly salary of £18,964.40
Various shifts, 70 hours every fortnight, week 1: 31.5hrs, week 2: 39.5hrs.

What you'll be doing:

Assistants are required to be flexible according to business requirements.

The focus of each job may vary however, it is expected that activities will typically include the following but are not exhaustive to the below:

Maintain continuous surveillance of people in the Gym area.
Ensure appropriate headcount of people involved in the Gym on an hourly basis.
Spot hazards or potential hazards and take measures to prevent accidents.
Perform rescues in the event of accidents.
Assist with performing first aid and CPR according to the demands of adverse situations.
Perform and record equipment checks on a weekly basis.
Maintain accurate records of Gym use.
Clean equipment on a daily basis
Check users into the gym, Ensure new customers are given an induction, keep records of users.

Assist with fire alarm checks and evacuations- Ensure that all Gym equipment is stored safely and that any lost items are kept in a safe place.

Assist with the cleaning of the Gym area and changing rooms.

Answer phone and take bookings

Experience:

Previous experience in a similar role is desirable but not essential as full on the job training will be provided
Must be able to work well as part of a team and by themselves
Must have First Aid Certificate
A great team player with a flexible approach to duties
Disclosure Scotland and be able to pass BPSS security checks.
