Up to £45,000 with a total package of £58,875 (Bonus, Car allowance/car, Pension)


Hours:40 hours per week, Monday to Friday


Location:
Flexible across the UK with occasional travel to one of our offices

What will you be doing?
Do you like solving complex problems? Are you innovative? Do you enjoy working with cloud technologies and a wide variety of data?


We are currently looking for a talented Senior Data Engineer to join a large data and analytics function within a leading environmental company.

As a Senior Data Engineer at Veolia you will be responsible for delivering top level data outcomes via the mostmodern data sourcing, integration and modelling techniques.


You will work closely with our team of Data Architects, Data Scientists, Report Developers and other Data Engineers to deliver end-to-end data solutions to deliver value by driving insight and automating business processes.


  • SQL & Python
  • Developing with industry best practice in mind, designing and implementing well constructed and human readable code.


  • Data Modelling

  • Understanding how to transform data so that it is both intuitive to use while also allowing users to derive meaningful and actionable insights. Domain, process and entity driven design methodologies.
  • Passion For Data & Analytics
  • Strong sense of curiosity and an ability to break a complex problem into manageable parts.

What are we looking for?

  • Experience in Python and SQL.
  • Experience leading projects from a technical perspective.
  • Exposure to core modern data platform tools; ideally Databricks, Azure Data Factory, SQL Data Warehouse, Synapse, Power BI, Power Automate, Logic Apps.
