BEAR is an alliance of three highly successful organisations who are prominent in the United Kingdom roads sector - Vinci/Eurovia, Jacobs and Breedon - joining together to provide trunk road network management and maintenance solutions to Transport Scotland.

We are seeking the appointment of a Commercial Administrator, reporting to the Commercial Systems Manager to join our team, to aid with the logging of valuation records, producing procurement documents and administering measurement data.

This post may suit a school leaver who wishes to start a career within the construction industry.

You will have the chance to gain a qualification through an apprenticeship scheme - combining the practical skills which you will learn through on-the-job training, with theoretical knowledge.


Role includes:


  • Data input of measurement and valuation data
  • Production of Purchase Orders / SubContract Documentation
  • Reviewing Timesheets and input of records to valuation software
  • Administering databases holding procurement frameworks

Knowledge, Skills and Experience:


  • A good standard of school education
  • Excellent IT skills
  • To be good team player
  • Able to act on own initiative
