Yolk Recruitment is exclusively managing an exciting new opportunity for an Environmental and Quality Coordinator to join a unique manufacturing company based in Gloucestershire.


This is a Monday to Friday 8:00am - 4:30pm position and is an ideal role for a quality/environmental or Health and Safety professional who would like a varied analytical role with a forward-thinking company.


This is what you'll be doing as QHSE Coordinator:

  • Monitor environmental control measures by conducting or co-ordinating surveys of items such as leaks/chemical containment, waste handling and records, plastic, energy and water use, LEV, asbestos. This will use specialist support or contractors, as appropriate.
  • Maintain corrective action plans associated with the above. This may involve working on projects to improve control measures or coordinating support from the relevant departments.
  • Conduct internal environmental and quality audits.
  • Be responsible for the issue and control of approved updates to Quality and Environment documentation such as the Manual Procedures, Specifications and Work instructions and Reference Samples.
  • Coordinate external calibration of equipment.
  • Carry out some internal calibrations.
  • Support the Quality team with data analysis, chart creation and distribution as required.
  • Maintain quality/environmental records and archives.
  • Other tasks as required.
  • Assist in planning, implementation, monitoring and reviewing the protective and preventative measures adopted by the company and working to minimise operational losses, accidents and injuries

Some essentials you will need as QHSE Coordinator:

  • Experience in working in a manufacturing environment, preferably one where chemicals are widely used.
  • Willingness to learn.
  • Good communication skills and the ability to work well with a range of people.
  • Have well developed organisational skills.
  • Professional and rigorous approach
  • Be selfmotivated and able to work on your own initiative.
  • Must be able to use Microsoft Excel for data analysis and chart creation.

And the desirables:


  • Experience of internal auditing.
  • Experience in using Microsoft Access / other databases.
  • Health and safety knowledge
  • Experience of working to Quality Assurance and/or Environment standards (ISO9001:2015, ISO14001:2015).
  • Familiar with statistical packages and able to generate various analytical charts.
  • Familiar with root cause analysis methodologies.
