Starting Salary:
£32,876 rising to £36,229 per annum through annual increments being paid each year. (Pro rata for part time applicants)


Work Pattern:
Full time, 37 hours per week (_Compressed Hours or Term Time Working considered - discussions at interview stage welcome)_

The post holder will protect and enhance the environment by effective and efficient investigation of complex environmental offending across a variety of regimes.

Provide operational enforcement support and guidance to the wider organisation.


You will provide expertise to a defined area or function undertaking a range of work that supports regulation and environmental responsibilities of NRW.


You will refer to procedure manuals, relevant statutory codes and legislation in undertaking the work, undertaking analysis and interpreting requirements as necessary.


You will process and analyse non-routine information that has an element of complexity and will be of a technical nature.


Knowledge and experience of the following:
Knowledge of key legislative regimes.

Ability to communicate effectively with regulated business and the public and gaining support by influencing.

Comfortable and competent in dealing with challenging situations and individuals.

You will have good literacy, numeracy and communication skills including well developed customer facing skills.

You will have analytical skills that enables you to process and analyse technical information.
You will provide guidance to less experienced colleagues in the resolution of problems.

You will have oversight of contractors and the associated costs.
