ICT Support Assistant This Client is a well-established regional law firm combining high quality commercial & private client services with offices in Darlington, Durham, Newcastle, Tynemouth and Stockton.

We are looking for an ICT Support Assistant to join our team in Darlington.

This is a permanent, full-time role.

KEY OBJECTIVES

To assist in all aspects relating to the maintenance and replacement of all IT hardware and software throughout the firm.


The role is mainly office based with some travel to support other offices, this includes 1st and 2nd line support but will also include assisting the ICT Manager with project-based work.


Contribute to team meetings and play an active role in the development of the service delivered by the IT team.


1ST AND 2ND LINE SUPPORT RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Respond to support calls and requests for assistance, logging and updating support calls to reflect the ongoing status via the helpdesk system.
Fault diagnosis and resolution of issues within service levels agreed by the ICT Manager.

Providing support & coaching to end users at head office, remote sites, and home workers.

To assist with the installation of new hardware as required for new user/system upgrades.


To assist with the maintenance of the IT register, ensuring all assets are tagged and accurately recorded in the register.

To assist with the administration, maintenance and provision of the business's mobiles and land line services.

To assist with the creation and maintenance of all documentation relating to IT.

To assist with the PAT Testing of all IT equipment and record this in a register.


Support the ICT manager to maintain and manage the new Practice Management system (Proclaim), develop the system functionality and reporting capabilities to add new enhancements to the system to achieve a better user experience.


KEY SKILLS, EXPERIENCE & KNOWLEDGE FOR THE POSITION
Enthusiasm and passion for IT
Knowledge of Microsoft Office products (Office 365)
Some experience with IT/computer building/ maintenance/ support (e.g., school / friends & family)
Strong communication & organisational skills
Ability to work well with people and support their IT skills development
Customer focused
