You will engage in multiple sourcing methods, and ensure process is adhered to in regard to the processing of pre-employment checks via our applicant tracking system.


You will need to demonstrate excellent communication skills, with the ability to write engaging recruitment adverts, and have the ability to work effectively under pressure and prioritise workload and meet deadlines.


  • Regularly meeting with key stakeholders both virtually and inperson to discuss opportunities for engagement, whilst gaining a wider understanding of the organisation as a whole
  • Tailoring advertisements to ensure these are fit for purpose and reaching as wider audience as possible
  • Training of other recruitment team members in proactive sourcing methods and effective recruitment communications.
  • Working in collaboration with our communications department to develop KMPT's brand as an 'employer of choice', through effective utilisation of the KMPT careers page and other online platforms where KMPT has or needs a presence
  • Supporting the recruitment team with the recruitment process where needed


The team are currently based at home for 80% of the working week, with 20% being spent on site in Canterbury, in accordance with our current hybrid working policy.

It may be possible to adjust the office location for the right applicant, as we have several locations across Kent and Medway.

  • First port of call for line management in relation to setting up designated recruitment campaigns
  • To act on own initiative, complying with HR procedures seeking advice from Recruitment Manager when necessary
  • To follow the six NHS Employers Standard Employment Checks and the Recruitment and DBS policy
  • Ensure that all advertisements and advice given is aligned to NHS Employers guidelines and employment law requirements
  • Partnering with key stakeholders across the organisation to offer innovative suggestions and support for recruitment requirements
  • Provide cover duties for other Recruitment staff on occasions of annual leave, sickness etc.
  • Represent Trust at Job Fairs and Recruitment Exhibitions
  • Effective prioritisation of workload and vacancies in line with trust strategic objectives and overall target to reduce the number of vacancies within the NHS
