- Looking for a registrar to join our cohesive Urology team for a 3-month fixed term contract at Worthing Hospital.
- Minimal Urology experience required - 6 months at CT2 level in Urology sufficient. The successful applicant will be on-call for Urology at registrar level covering St Richards and Worthing hospitals.
- The Urology department at University Hospitals Sussex provides Urological Services for a population of 450,000 in West Sussex.
The department has in-patients at Worthing and St Richard's with access to theatre and clinic facilities at St. Richard's, Worthing, and Southlands Hospitals. - At Worthing Hospital, there are purpose-built outpatient and dedicated endoscopy units. Theatre facilities are available for short stay and major surgical procedures for Urology patients.
- Part of a busy, cohesive DGH department, running outpatient clinics, theater sessions, participating in daily ward rounds, teaching juniors, and attending MDTs.
- Good communication, leadership, and managerial skills are essential, with a willingness to learn and grow.

- Basic medical degree
- Postgraduate qualification
- Full GMC Registration with a license to practice
- Advanced Life Support Certificate
- Higher Degree
- Understanding of clinical risk management
- Effective communication skills
- Experience as registrar in cardiac surgery
- Breadth of experience in and outside the specialty
- Experience working in multi-professional teams
- Understanding of NHS/Clinical governance/Resource constraints
- Evidence of managerial skills
