We are opening a new service and are looking

for a Children's Home Administrator
To provide administrative support to a staff team that look after children with emotional & behavioural difficulties.

Location Central Manchester

Hours 16 hours per week

Salary £9,080.75 annual salary

Two yearly salary increments.
27 days annual leave rising to 30 after 5 years and 33 after 10 years plus bank holidays (Prorata)

Main Responsibilities

To establish, monitor and maintain administrative systems which ensure that the records of the young people in residence are accurate and up to date.
To function as a point of contact between the home and outside organisations and individuals to minimise the diversion of operational staff.
To be responsible for the security of the office and its contents ensuring the confidentiality of records and information relating to the children and staff.
To collate information and provide regular reports for both internal and external agencies on the home, children's outcomes, and other statistical information as requested.
To undertake routine office work, including word processing for the Registered Manager and staff team, including accurate and concise minutes of meetings.
To act in a discrete and professional manner, always ensuring confidentiality.

About the service
The service is based in central Manchester, providing support for children with emotional & behavioural difficulties.

About you & Qualifications

NVQ Level 3 in Administration or equivalent, or willingness to work towards the award.
Previous experience of office work, preferably in a residential setting
Efficient and accurate keyboard skills and ability to use Word, Excel, Access, and Outlook.
Good standard of written and oral English
Good people skills with the ability to liaise internally and externally in a confident and professional manner.
Ability to prioritise work and to use initiative.
Ability to work as a team member.
