Breakthrough in Education are currently recruiting for an exciting new role, working in the Bury St. Edmunds area. in a learning environment designed to support the education of students with Social emotional and Metal Health needs.

Within this role, you will be working as a Classroom Assistant, for students in a Key Stage 1 class, and will be given the opportunity to better the education of vulnerable young people in your local area.


This role gives you the chance to work in an educational setting equipped with special provisions in order to provide the highest quality education for the pupils.

You will be working as part of a team in this Key Stage 1 class, to ensure the students are supported throughout their learning journeys.


Your role within this setting will be to:

  • Support the students on their learning journeys both inside and outside the classroom, making use of the special provisions in order to better support the students education
  • Ensure that the learning journals are up to date, and all progress is recorded and celebrated
  • Understand and maintain your safeguarding roles and responsibilities
  • Engage the students in their learning and extracurricular activities
  • Has experience with behavioural management, SEMH or experience in a mainstream setting
  • Capable of remaining calm and presenting as a strong role model to your students
  • Able to build strong relationships with staff, parents and students
  • Remain friendly and approachable
  • Understand your safeguarding responsibilities
  • Approach education with a creative and open minded outlook

£78.00-£90.00 per day
