Description

You will be the lead for developing, monitoring and maintaining a comprehensive procurement advice function, ensuring mechanisms are in place in relation to national legislation and the rules are followed to obtain best value for money.

To lead on high priority projects designed to improve compliance with any specific aspect of procurement, as delegated by the Director of Corporate Resources

To be the lead specialist in relation to procurement, working closely with Legal Services as required to ensure policies, procedures, guidance and processes are effective and robust

To develop processes and implement new procedures to help the client benefit from technological developments and increase savings.

To carry out such other duties and responsibilities as may be specified by the Director of Corporate Resources.


Job Type:
Temporary contract


Salary:
£300.00 per day


Ability to commute/relocate:

  • Brentwood, Essex: reliably commute or plan to relocate before starting work (required)

Experience:


  • Procurement: 1 year (required)
  • Purchasing: 1 year (preferred)
