    We are seeking a professional for the role of Health, Safety & Wellbeing Manager to join our Building Operating Unit. The main goal is to provide top-notch advice, guidance, and coaching to senior management within the project to strive for zero accidents.

    Our focus involves constructing and enhancing buildings nationwide, catering to both private and public-sector clients. As the primary contractor, we handle intricate construction projects in various sectors, such as high-quality offices, healthcare facilities, custodial structures, defense buildings, and educational institutions.

    You'll be part of a team of experts specializing in commercial developments, particularly in the vibrant City of London and its surrounding areas. We have worked on renowned landmarks like the Gherkin and Heron Tower, demonstrating our expertise. Additionally, we successfully completed the 10-storey Monument Building ahead of schedule.

    Another core aspect of our Building team is leading in environmentally friendly practices, boasting a team of esteemed professionals. Our sustainable projects, including Moorgate Exchange and 66 Queen Square, adhere to the BREEAM Excellent environmental standard through innovative green solutions.

    This position plays a crucial role in setting and upholding the highest Health and Safety standards for the Project and contributing to establishing an Injury-Free Environment.

    You'll:

    • Advise, guide, and coach all staff on implementing the Company Health & Safety Management System (HSMS)
    • Support Project teams in creating, reviewing, and executing the Construction Phase Plan/Project Execution Plan
    • Engage with various stakeholders like trade contractors, designers, suppliers, clients, and enforcement agencies
    • Ensure effective communication with your line manager, especially regarding accident and incident escalation
    • Oversee the investigation of accidents and incidents and timely communication of findings
    • Coordinate project audits under your jurisdiction
    • Handle the auditing of trade contractors, designers, suppliers, and collaborate with the Procurement Team

    We're looking for:

    • Prior experience in a similar role with a principal contractor involved in built environment projects
    • In the process of obtaining chartered membership of IOSH - CMIOSH
    • NEBOSH diploma or MSc/PGD in Occupational Health & Safety Management
    • NVQ level 4 or higher in Occupational Health & Safety
