- Prepare and maintain equipment for demonstrations, practical class work, and projects.
- Assist in the installation and commissioning of new equipment, coordinating with suppliers and contractors.
- Procure materials and consumables for workshops and learning activities, ensuring adequate stock levels.
- Manufacture components and resources needed for teaching using workshop facilities.
- Advise students and staff on equipment and methods for achieving specific outcomes in design, manufacture, and assembly activities.
- Supervise students' use of workshop equipment, providing basic training and instruction.
- Maintain records of machine maintenance and induction and training of workshop users.
- Contribute to the development of policies and procedures for safe working.
- Assist learning facilitators in preparing learning spaces.
- Background in hands-on engineering.
- GCSE or equivalent Maths and English at Grade C or above.
- Professional registration with an engineering or technology institute (or willingness to work towards this)
