About Us
The People & Culture directorate (approx. 40 staff) is organised across five distinct core functions, aligned to the delivery of our People Strategy - Talent Acquisition & Onboarding, Employee Experience & Development, Operations, Systems & Service, Employee Relations & Policy and Health, Safety & Wellbeing.


The People & Culture directorate is responsible, in partnership with customers across the organisation, for delivering the University of East London's People strategy in furtherance of the UELs strategic progress outlined in our Vision 2028 strategy.

About the Job


This is an exciting opportunity for an experienced
Digital Learning Specialist to contribute to the modernisation and improvement of the University's Learning and Development offering through the introduction of innovative digital learning solutions.

The post holder will lead on the delivery of a new digital strategy which is underpinned by the principles of blended learning to enable the transition to a more flexible efficient operating model.


The Digital Learning Specialist will handle the deployment of a phased fast-paced transitional plan to implement creative and efficient digital learning solutions (such as e-learning, digital learning, social learning platforms, mobile learning, and video learning) which support strategic objectives and organisational requirements, this with a view to sustainably embed the new blended L&D offer into the Directorate's business as usual activities.

This role will involve managing L&D systems and working closely with the ICT department to ensure systems are deployed in the most user-friendly way.


This role is campus based with hybrid working according to business needs.

About You
You will have a good understanding of the employee lifecycle and the different disciplines in a typical HR team.

You will understand how to best utilise learning technologies and to procure, design and implementation of Learning Management Systems.

You will be experienced in developing and delivering impactful elearning and digital solutions to learning neds.
