Working Hours; Monday-Friday 35 hour per week.
Full-time hours: 35 per week Salary: £23,000 - £30,000 depending on experience

MAIN DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
- Maintain organized and accurate financial records, including accounts payable, accounts receivable, general ledger entries, and other financial transactions
- Posting invoices, reconciling bank and preparing journals such as accruals, prepayments and depreciation.
- Processing weekly and monthly payroll, ensuring accuracy and compliance.
- Identify and rectify any discrepancies or inconsistencies in financial entries.
- Reconciliation of invoices, bills, payments in Xero to ensure all financial transactions are accurately recorded.
- Preparing and checking ledger balances.
- Consistently driving high levels of operational excellence.
- Maintain HP and Lease reconciliation
- Ensure compliance with taxation legislation.
- Liaise with staff, colleagues and Clients with regards to daytoday practices.
- Keeping up to date with changes in Xero software
- Keeping up to date with learning and development, ensuring current legislation, codes of practice and guidance are followed.
- Take part in staff meetings as and when required.
- Maintain full and accurate records and reporting systems in accordance with legal requirements, and to ensure the effective running of the business.
- Ensure that all data is managed and maintained in accordance with GDPR Regulations.
- Work flexibly in line with the needs of the business to ensure the safe delivery of our service.
ESSENTIAL COMPETENCIES
- Minimum qualification of AAT level 1 or equivalent
- Experience with online accounting software
- Multi company experience
- At least 2 years experience of working in a UK accountancy department
- Skilled and accurate at analysing numerical data
- Ability to solve accountancy and bookkeeping problems.
- Flexible with the ability to work on own initiative
- Excellent attention to detail
- Excellent organisational skills and the ability to meet deadlines
- Ambitious and highly motivated
- Good knowledge and understanding of GDPR
- Excellent working knowledge of Excel and Microsoft Office 36
- Strong understanding of accounting principles.
- Pragmatic, outcome oriented with the ability to understand the bigger picture whilst working on smaller tasks.
DESIRABLE COMPETENCIES
- Experience of Xero accountancy software
- Ability to drive and have access to a car
- Experience of working with valuations for payments
