  • The National Environmental Assessment and Sustainability (NEAS) group within the Major Project and Programme Delivery (MPPD) department oversees the effective management of environmental risk on our Flood and Coastal Erosion Risk Management (FCERM) projects and helps identify and deliver environmental enhancements that leave a better place. Our NEAS Hub Teams are responsible for the input of high quality environmental and sustainability advice to the Integrated Delivery Teams for each Delivery Hub. Our input is principally at the project development stages where we ensure that the need for environmental consents and approvals is identified.

You will be required to have an incident role and make yourself available to respond to incidents or provide business continuity support during an incident. This may attract an additional payment and full training and alternative working arrangements will be available to support you with your incident role.

  • Experience of supporting individuals through change
  • An understanding of project and programme management
  • Experience of operating in a leadership environment to inspire and motivate others.

Desirable:

  • Awareness of project governance
  • An understanding of the environment and sustainability sector

  • Benefits include generous pension provision and leave entitlement. Our flexible working practices support a healthy work/life balance and offer numerous choices to embrace your personal commitments.

  • Driving licence ideally required as some driving may be necessary. Lease car is available where there is a clear business need.
  • Interviews are anticipated to take place in the fortnight commencing: 23/01/23
