The appointee will work on Rainbow Ward, the Local Neonatal Unit, the Paediatric Emergency Care Centre (PECC) and Outpatients Clinics.


The appointee will be responsible for:

Ward Rounds on Rainbow and the Local Neonatal Unit, seeing children in the PECC in a timely fashion, attending to any emergencies immediately, including on Labour Ward, Outpatient Clinics (all of those are off site and into the community at various sites) and Child protection assessments under Consultant supervision The Child Health Directorate sits within the Surgical Division and the directorate covers all areas of Paediatric and Child Health services in both Acute and Community settings.


Close relationships at management level are in place between the Acute, community and mental health providers to promote integrated child health services across both hospital and community sectors.

You must be fully registered with the GMC and hold a license to practice.
