About the role


The UK & European EPC FGDS Business Development Manager role is part of our key strategy to expand and develop our capability in identifying and delivering FGDS projects within EPC.

Reporting directly to UK Sales Manager and in alignment with FGDS EUR Regional management, with the goal to develop and maximize all sales and profit opportunities within FGDS portfolio in Region Europe, primarily with focus on Italy, France, Spain, The Netherlands, The Nordics, Germany.

Operating at a senior level within existing sales teams to achieve UK & European targets for growth and new business revenue.

Deliver profitable sales of all Dräger products and services associated with the defined sales region with special attention on:

  • Growth in Market Share
  • Present and sell all Dräger FGDS products and services to existing & new customers
  • Prepare action plans to monitor and prioritise
  • Create propositions for customers based upon value rather than cost
  • Followup on leads (coming from e.g., trade shows) marketing publications
  • Ensure that the sales and profit targets are achieved
Customer Management

  • Maintain and develop route to market for FGDS portfolio via Operators, EPC, Tier 1 & 2, OEM's
  • Secure business in the supply chains for EPC ensuring specification on AVL, portal registration, Pre-FEED & FEED
  • Provide technical support and training to customers within the target area to sustain and develop their knowledge of FGDS Portfolio including any technical training that may be required.
  • Liaise with all departments and business units monthly/quarterly
  • Inform product management & technical teams on various requirements within EPC, including and not restricted to competitor activity, market demands/requirements and changes in legislation
  • Update and validate all opportunities on CRM system
  • Coordinate internal Draeger teams across multiple disciplines to address the customer's needs and issues
  • Working closely with European BDM and global BDM teams to ensure projects are tracked and secured
  • Attending regular internal meeting to exchange knowledge on EPC projects and cross border collaboration
  • Maintain and build relationships with existing and potential customers at all levels of the organisation
  • Prepare presentations, proposals, and sales contracts for customers
  • Present the Dräger core values in front of customers
Export Compliance

  • Acquire proficient knowledge of all company regulations / processes regarding export / crossborder business to act as coach for other team members.
Regional

  • Facilitate open and clear communication / project information and updates between stakeholders within the organisation.
  • Develop project and bid action plans for internal support team in alignment EUR BDM
  • Monitor and report EPC trends / key account developments / competitor activity
  • Evaluate and analyse won and loss reasons and communicate lessons learnt
  • Identify growth opportunities / obstacles and develop with EUR BDM measures / action plans to address these.
  • Work with EUR BDM as part of EPC taskforce, to improve the efficiency of activities relating to this business
Your Qualifications

  • Degree educated ideally in a technical discipline is desirable with sound commercial skills
Experience related to EPC and international project business
Exposure to Safety products & Industry
Understanding of safety regulatory processes and changes in legislation

Strong written and verbal communications skills, with excellent interpersonal skills and the ability to build strong relationships with key decision makers.


Relationship Management:
Track record managing complex sales relationships in a technical environment
Willingness to travel extensively on a flexible schedule, including some overnights.
Other tasks as requested by your immediate line manager
Located within designated sales region, home office based
