I am an Experienced, Warm, diligent and determined health worker from Nigeria with about 15 years of extensive work experiences. During the course of my past and present experiences, I make intelligent contributions and assist to maintain high standard of clinical care. I also take part in educating and supervising of other staff members as well as supporting students on posting in my Unit.
I possess an Advanced knowledge of IT as I am able to navigate through even complex IT softwares. This has proven to be beneficial when collecting, collating and completely reporting patients' information. I have great communication and interpersonal skills and I am a good team player in relation to care, support for ongoing care and safe discharge. I am a good team player because I see it as an avenue to analyse all possible solutions to solve an issue that is best for the patient's whole care, preventing any oversight of any sort. Lack of accurate communication can only result in chaos and work hardships against the patient. I also effectively maintain good communication with patients and their relatives.
In my capacity as a health care assistance, I take care of the whole needs of those who are critically ill as well as acting as a professional role model to my colleagues, clients, their families and the general public according to the local policy at all times. I maintain strict health attendance standard, health protocol and local policy. I adhere to and promote high standard of prevention and control of infection as most of our clients are critically ill. I also promote patient's dignity, equality, diversity and human rights. I maintain confidentiality at all times and ensure that information relating to patients and colleagues is used only with authorised duties.
The health, safety and security of myself and others who come in contact with my Hospital are very important to me. I take appropriate action, report in line according to local policy. At all times I maintain a clean and safe environment adhering to infection control policies, procedures and best practices while ensuring harzard free work area.
From my successful health care experiences so far, my personal life experiences, combined with the kind of demanding patients I have care, I have learnt to effectively manage my time and prioritise my workload, therefore making me skillful in working under pressure and in a fast pace environment. I am also skilled in working with both acute and critically ill patients which has taught me how to respond quickly, confidently and calmly during emergencies no matter how serious they are.
I am very inquisitive and eager to learn new things especially in a world where things are evolving and technology is growing at a fast pace which has also influenced the health sector. The institution I work with has a continuing education and training unit which I actively attend whenever I'm nominated to. I am knowledgeable about technology and can effortlessly use Electronic Medical Records (EMR) E-Clinic.
I am very passionate about care assistance and aspire to contribute positively to the health care sector, this is one of the many factors that motivates me. I have high adaptability levels and can manage stress effectively. I have good critical thinking skills that aids my decision-making and helps to solve problems and overcome challenges. This has earned me some leadership roles.
I always strive to leave a positive lasting impression on my patients and by extension everyone I come in contact with, by the way I treat, listen to them and tend to their concerns with empathy.I believe this work experience will make me a good fit for this opportunity.
