As a Data Governance professional, I make sure an organisation’s data is accurate, trusted, secure, and used responsibly. I define how data should be owned, managed, protected, and maintained across its lifecycle, working closely with business and technical teams to put practical controls in place. My role focuses on improving data quality, ensuring compliance with regulations like GDPR, and helping the business make better decisions by having confidence in its data.

Experience

Data Governance Specialist with hands-on experience designing and embedding practical governance frameworks within regulated business environments. Experienced in establishing data ownership models, data quality controls, classification schemes, and lifecycle management across key data domains including customer, financial, and operational data. Currently working within a growing organisation where governance maturity is being built from the ground up, translating regulatory requirements such as GDPR and ISO 27001 into clear policies, standards, and day-to-day controls. Strong at working between business and technology teams, using tools such as Collibra to catalogue data assets, define business glossaries, and support stewardship adoption, while also remaining closely involved in operational data quality monitoring and issue remediation.
