Research project- For my final year project, my practical skills were applied to an independent piece of research. The project involved studying the effects chemotherapeutic drugs Doxorubicin and Metformin had on the proliferation and expression of tumour suppressor genes, ABI3BP and EP300 on lung cancer cell line A549. During my research, various assays were performed, such as cell viability assays, MTT assays, and qPCR, along with extensive data analysis using Microsoft excel. This project was then presented to staff members as part of a viva assessment.
