December 2015 – July 2019: Medical Representative, Takeda Pharmaceutical company, Cairo, Egypt Responsibilities included: • Responsible for a number of drugs, mainly proton pump inhibitor drugs such as, Controloc • Promoted the company’s products to medical doctors and pharmacists • Increased the awareness of doctors about drugs through providing medical advice and answering queries. March 2015 – November 2015: Medical Representative, AstraZeneca Pharmaceutical Company, Cairo, Egypt • Marketing drugs used for the treatment of Dyslipidemia such as, Crestor. January2014 – February 2015: Pharmacist and Medical Advisor, Seif Pharmacies, Cairo, Egypt • Advised patients and handled inquires • Provided services to patients such as, blood pressure and blood sugar level measurements, and giving injections August 2012: Trainee Pharmacist, Quality Control Department, GlaxoSmithKline Pharmaceutical Company, Cairo, Egypt • Tested drug safety before production • Used analytical methods for the testing and evaluation of drugs and formulations using equipment such as, spectrophotometer and PH meter. September 2019 – September 2020: MSc Molecular Biology, Coventry University, UK • Modules included: Medical molecular biology, principles of molecular biology, synthetic biology, research techniques in molecular biology, critical review in molecular biology. • Final project: Investigation into the effect of incretin-based therapies on cardiovascular risk in type 2 diabetic patients (meta-analysis). September 2008 – June 2013: BSc in Pharmacy and Biotechnology, The German University in Cairo, Egypt • Subjects included: Biochemistry, biology, microbiology and immunology, organic chemistry, physiology and anatomy, pharmaceutical technology, instrumental analysis, drug design, pharmaceutics, pharmacognosy, physical chemistry, photochemistry and biogenic drugs, toxicology and pharmacokinetics. • The final semester of the degree was studied at the German University in Cairo campus in Berlin, Germany.
