Aleena Joseph

I am a recent graduate of King’s College, London, where I earned a Bachelor of Law (LLB) with honors, achieving a 2:1 and ranking second in my Family Law module. My academic journey began at Our Lady’s and St. Patrick’s College in Belfast, where I excelled in Sociology, Art and Design, and History at the A-level, alongside securing top grades in my GCSEs. During my time at King’s, I volunteered at the Student Legal Clinic, leading a team to provide crucial legal advice to vulnerable clients. My professional experience includes experience in courtroom procedures and legal principles through a legal apprenticeship at the Family and Criminal Court in Northern Ireland. I also gained valuable insights while working as a Photography Sales Assistant at The London Dungeons and as a Sales Assistant at Next Plc.

• Led a team of four volunteers providing free legal advice about child maintenance payments to vulnerable clients.
• Researched and complied legal advice using Home Office guidance, UK statutes and legal practice textbooks.
• Interviewed vulnerable clients to assess facts and adequately give advice based on their situations.

• Worked in a fast-paced environment, serving several hundreds of people a day at a top tourist attraction in the centre of London
• Exceeded sales targets consistently and won an incentive because of outstanding numbers.

• Supported court proceedings by conducting focused online research using provided terms to gather evidence, analysed case law, and extracted pertinent references.
