Responsibility: Development of a software Encryption module for a high availability router, in order to guarantee the security of the information that passes through it.

Activities: Implementation of Public Key Cryptography using software elliptic curves (Language C and use of the GMP library). The implementation of the code using Gprof, to identify the function that contains the largest processing bottleneck in order to be implemented in reconfigurable hardware (FPGA), using the VHDL language, to compare execution results and to identify which functions (SW and HW) provides better performance.
