SKILLS

 

Scientific Writing and Communication

  • Working closely with market access consultants to produce Payer Value Stories for FSMPs, to identify the health problem, outline the clinical benefits of the product, and build a case for reimbursement.

  • Completion of Effective Writing for Biomedical Professionals course.
  • Commissioned by Network Health Digest, a HCP magazine, to write articles for HCPs on topics such as the ketogenic diet in the management of epilepsy and bone health in coeliac disease (CD), and by Free-From Heaven, a popular consumer magazine, to write an article explaining the scientific evidence around a gluten versus wheat-free diet in a non-clinical and consumer-friendly manner.

Presentation and Training

  • Development and implementation of external training courses for GPs and pharmacists across the UK in the effective management of CD, covering biochemistry (diagnosis and monitoring), DEXA scans and appropriate prescription of products.
  • Invited to present, as a specialist gastroenterology dietitian, on the relevant clinical and biochemical markers involved in the management of high output stomas and short bowel syndrome, at a training course for NHS gastroenterology nurses and consultants.
  • Invited to present at the annual Alkaptonuria Society (a non-profit patient support and research organisation) patient day on a new product for use in the dietary management in alkaptonuria (AKU), a rare inborn error of metabolism.
  • Liaise with medical affairs team and brand managers to produce PowerPoint presentations to train global sales and marketing teams on products new to the market.
