This is my current job at the moment. I began work here mid January and have came to realise I want to stay within the property sector as my long term career. The short time I have worked here I have gained a great amount of knowledge about working in an estate agency such as booking viewings for properties on the market, booking market appraisals for new up coming properties wanting to go on the market and also gained excellent customer service and admin skills within the branch. I have also been working within the sales team to pitch to first time buyers and new applicants for our in house mortgage and financial services. I also accompany viewers on properties and and answer any questions or queries a client has. I have also gained other knowledge about properties such as EPC’s, probates and working with properties who are owned by corporate companies as well as working with auction properties. I have also expanded my time management skills by keeping to my schedule and going to viewings and meeting new or existing clients within the office. This job role has also kept me well organised as I keep in touch with all my applicants and labelling them as ‘hot buyers’. Another part of my job role is to do touting and leaflet drops in areas where properties are wanted by our clients and trying my best to get them on the market to keep clients satisfied. While doing business generation, I also target clients who have had valuations or registered with us in the past who are now on the property market with other agencies by giving them hand written letters on how we could beat their fees and overall make them happier if we was to put them on the market with us. I have also had dual control over our social media platforms and making sure our followers online are updated on new and upcoming properties with Jones and Chapman.
Education
In September, I started sixth form back at Broughton Hall and took three A Levels. My A Levels include Marketing, Criminology and Fashion Textiles (Art). I was predicted BBB. I have always wanted a career in property and sales, knowing the ins and outs of a business. I am passionate about keeping up to date to new trends and always keep myself within the trends. As I have left sixth form, I am hoping to find a high end job and kickstart my career with the most experience possible. I want to pursue my dream career by hopefully becoming successful within real estate and sales and I believe, by getting the experience in different work sectors, it will give me the extra knowledge I need to know for the future. I believe switching focus and leaving the typical norms would help me develop as an individual.
