Final Year Art History Student at the Courtauld Institute of Art

As set out in my attached Curriculum Vitae, I have already gained valuable experience in a variety of contexts in the art world both in Switzerland and the United Kingdom. Through this experience, I have had the opportunity to develop and demonstrate my business acumen, leadership and proactivity in a number of different professional environments, working in both English and French.  

At the Fondation Edouard Vallet, I demonstrated initiative by going beyond my responsibilities as gallery attendant to propose and deliver a short film about the artist Vallet. I independently researched, scripted and produced this film, which is now used as a major promotional tool for the gallery. 

For the last two years, I was selected as one of two student assistants to the Careers Consultant of the Courtauld Institute. This required me to successfully manage two part-time positions in addition to my academic endeavours. With this demanding schedule, I became extremely efficient and organised. My responsibilities for event promotion became particularly challenging, with COVID restrictions limiting communication channels with the student body. I therefore learned to fully exploit many online resources to promote our events, such as Emails, Instagram, Facebook and student group chats. I also proactively designed a style guide for our Instagram page to improve operations and strengthen the brand identity of the Careers Centre. 

My life-long passion for History of Art found an additional creative outlet in 2019, when I founded my own Art History Meme page on Instagram. After three years of regular postings and engagement, this page has attracted a global niche audience of more than 4,300 followers. With research and dedication, I have implemented many technical and other strategies to grow my audience and build the brand of my page. These include using watermarking, hashtags and story interactions with my followers.

My university studies in History of Art at the Courtauld Institute have provided me with intellectual frameworks for understanding art and fostered a genuine passion for the field that now drives my professional aspirations. I am extremely eager to contribute to a forward thinking, dynamic and artistically driven environment.
