About Andrea Prior:

Human Resources and Operations Manager with over 20 years’ experience working with international consultancies and contractors.

I started my career with Rider Levett Bucknall (RLB), an independent, commercial and cost consultancy company with over 3,600 people operating in more than 120 offices worldwide.  Working within the HR team and reporting to the Human Resources Partner, my HR generalist role involved employee relations, recruitment, absence management, inductions, learning & development, yearly salary surveys and HR reports.

 I moved to the Middle East (Dubai) in 2013 to explore opportunities after the London Olympics, working for Dubai World Trade Centre, DP World and latterly Currie and Brown as HR Recruitment Manager. A few years later, I was approached by RLB Middle East to join them as Operations Manager. 

My role as Operations Manager involved responsibility for the HR strategy and company-wide policy and procedure implementation, creating a full suite of policies and procedures for the Middle East office, including engaging with external legal partners to ensure legal compliance.

In addition, my role involved assisting senior management with managing and implementing good HR practice, resource planning, recruitment, inductions, appraisals, learning and development, disciplinary matters, succession planning and final exits. 

Leading a team of 10, my role also incorporated financial management, marketing, recruitment, office management and IT. 

I am proficient in Microsoft Office and HR Systems. I have strong communication and interpersonal skills, conflict resolution, planning and organisation, business acumen, and analytical and problem-solving abilities. 

I am discreet, adapt easily to different situations, proactive, with an impartial and balanced approach, especially when dealing with difficult or sensitive topics.
