  • Managing a team of Business Relationship Managers to support all businesses, particularly small to medium enterprises in the York and North Yorkshire area.
  • Responsible for managing a budget of over £1m for staff costs, online support services, procured support.
  • Setting the business support strategy for the area, including marketing of that service as well as the subjects covered, and delivery methods.
  • Liaising with local authority colleagues, central government, ministers, civil servants, universities, larger business, support providers, and others to deliver a seamless and unified support service for all businesses.
  • Developing the online offer through Covid pandemic to ensure delivery of support continued and was available to all.
  • Increased the department budget from £250k pa to over £1m pa through partnerships with local authorities, universities, and central government grants.

SME ENGAGEMENT COORDINATOR (Temp. Contract)

  • Recruited in to ERDF funded project to redesign and deliver improved SME engagement and support.
  • Leading a team of PMs and BDMs to achieve stretching delivery targets through process re-design.
  • Offering a range of high impact scientific innovation and testing services to industry.
  • Company lead, alongside the CEO on engagement with regional LEPs and Local Authorities and selected central government departments.
  • Increased delivery on my project 1200% in first 12 months in post.
