Experience
2022-2022 One Stop Stores Ltd
Apr 2022 – Nov 2022 Shift Lead
Originally hired as a store assistant, I quickly demonstrated my reliability and ability to handle increased responsibilities. Within a short period, I was entrusted to independently open and close the store. This involved managing the alarm systems, ensuring the store was properly secured, and preparing for the day's operations.
In recognition of my trustworthiness, I was given responsibility for managing the store's safe. This role required me to handle significant amounts of cash, ensuring its secure storage and accurate accounting at all times. Additionally, I was responsible for overseeing the inventory of controlled items, ensuring they were stocked appropriately and securely.
My duties also extended to customer service, where I consistently provided a high level of support and assistance to customers, resolving their queries and ensuring a positive shopping experience. I played a key role in maintaining the store's operational efficiency by organizing stock, managing deliveries, and ensuring the sales floor was well-presented.
2021-2021 Newbury Electronics Ltd
Jan 2021 – May 2021 SMT Machine Operator
Hired as a SMT operator utilising unfamiliar machines, I quickly learnt how to use the complex machines with minimal errors. I also orchestrated the organisation of the internal stock system which was a major factor in the reduction of incorrect components being placed by machines and the loss of components.
2019-2020 Delta Impact Ltd
May 2019 – Aug 2020 Manufacturing Engineer
Working within the company, I have helped to setup, organise and troubleshoot the Sage X3 System, creating and editing Sub-Contracting BOMs, creating and editing Sub-Contract works Orders and also creating and editing products within the system. I have also re-created the company’s filing system as to help organise the suppliers, customers and their respective builds and projects.
Following this, I have also created the companies Engineering Change Note, Engineering Change Request and Concession Notes system so that any changes within the system can easily be logged, categorised and led to the correct location.
Created an Assembly Matrix which outlines the builds which have been set-up within the system, who their respective customers and account managers are and also which information are present, missing or not required (for example Assembly Drawings, Gerber Data, Schematics, etc.).
I have visited customers and suppliers alike to help setup new assemblies, troubleshoot any issues which may occur and assist with the fist run-through of PCBAs should any assemblies be returned with issues or errors, I have performed rework operations on them to help bring them back up to the high standard expected.
2016-2019 Electronic Assembly Services Ltd
Jan 2016 – May 2019 NPI Engineer
First hired as an SMT Apprentice, I showed potential and was quickly made permanent within the company, as an NPI Engineer in November 2016.
In my apprenticeship role, I helped to stream line the work flow within the company by co-organising the production shop-floor. Subsequently, I have also redesigned the company paperwork system, and maintaining it with the many iterations of designs.
As an NPI Engineer, I have quickly learnt how to effectively use the software (FactoryLogix NPI) needed to program the companies SMT machines.
Through an internal departmental merger, I competently took on the responsibility of purchasing the components required for the builds, quickly learning how to buy the specific components and specifying alternatives to a high level of accuracy and with minimal errors.
Along with this, I have helped to design the layout of new engineering office incorporating safety and efficiency considerations. Furthermore, I have assisted the company with IT support, Health and Safety matters and also creating a calibration schedule and ensuring that equipment within the company is calibrated and maintained to a high standard with repeatable results.
