Edgbaston, BirminghamAbout Anjum Choudhury:
Hi I'm a motivated undergraduate philosophy student looking for more experience in the childcare field! I have a strong background in caring for children aged 0-5 and hope to pursue a career in working with children in the future. In my spare time I like to read classics and philosophy. Alongside dedicating time to my degree and social life I would like to build on my professional skills and manage childcare needs for busy families
Experience
I have done placement in a daycare nursery located in Digbeth working with newborns and toddlers. This included providing children with continuous supervision during meals, relaxation, toileting and play. In this placement I followed guidelines to effectively manage behaviour, including supporting children to manage their own feelings and behaviours. I have also worked as a test operative for COVID-19 testing in a secondary school where I was required to help school kids do a lateral flow test in a clean environment. Both jobs required a lot of empathy and have helped me learn how to interact with children better. I have good experience with newborns and am used to a child friendly environment as growing up I have had to take care of my siblings and neighbours kids a lot.
