  • I launched a worldwide Data Science magazine that increased readership by over 400% in its first 6 months
  • The Data Scientist magazine is now on its fourth issue, and features articles, interviews, and industry case studies from world leaders in Data Science & AI, and is seen as a thought-leader in this space
  • Increased magazine subscriber numbers by almost 300% in 6 months
  • Our magazine reach has gone from zero to over 5000 in 6 months
  • Full management of social media channels - has increased traffic to the company website by over 300% and created sector-specific content to position Data Science Talent as thought-leaders

EDITOR OF DUCK MAGAZINE                                                                                                                           2013 - 2023

Ten years ago, I established DUCK magazine; twice nominated for a national magazine award. Based in Stoke-on-Trent, DUCK magazine is a glossy, full-colour monthly which has sold out all of its first 77 issues. The magazine has a justifiable reputation for championing Stoke City, Stoke-on-Trent, Staffordshire, and its people. During the Covid-19 pandemic we raised £10,000 for local charities and sent out almost 30,000 free digital issues.

My role as editor is all-encompassing and includes:

  • Written content, including exclusive interviews
  • Product design and development, from concept to sales
  • Sales, shipping and customer care, and management of subscription/database information
  • Supervising sales in retail outlets and at events
  • B2B and B2C Marketing. Over 50 companies of all sizes and sectors have advertised with us
  • Manage our social media accounts, including our 19K Twitter following
