                                                               It was a migration project. The Code was migrated from Visual Age  

                                                               Generator (VAG) to plain COBOL. Worked on the application IFIS for the 

                                                               Health, Welfare and Sports Ministry of Nederland (VWS). VAG is an IBM 

                                                               product. To migrate the VAG application to COBOL application, the ESF 

                                                               sources generated for VAG tool. The ESF sources generated for VAG 

                                                                tool were taken as input. The team developed 3 REXX tools to automate.

                                                               The objective of SIRTAKI was to Integrate Volvo group 

                                                               Technology (KOLA) into Renault to manage manufacturing,

                                                                documentation, the order breakdown and preserve the current 

                                                               trucks execution system.

                                                               For maintaining the uniformity between Volvo systems and Renault 

                                                               systems the Volvo documentation database was updated with

                                                               information of Renault documentation database (DOCPROD) and vice 

                                                               versa. The aim of this project is to provide a common Information system.

                                                               Corporate Reporting System, known as the “back end”, was the central 

                                                               repository for all premiums and loss information which was booked to the

                                                               corporate record. CRS received daily feeds from all premium

                                                               booking systems, weekly feeds from all loss processing systems, monthly

                                                               feeds from outside sources, and quarterly non-machine feeds from the 

                                                              General Ledger. This data was then used to feed the General Ledger, 

                                                              Accounts Receivables System, RDPS, Annual Statements System, 

                                                              Actuaries, Regulatory reporting, for the online sales system and P&L.

                                                               Thus, CRS created the corporate record. Some of the 

                                                               critical fields were running out of their max limit. In remedy to 

                                                               the above stated difficulty client had decided to increase those fields in 

                                                               the feeding files and the data base tables across all participating modules

                                                               in the system.
